I have over 20 years' experience working for the Local Authority both within a school environment and as an outside agency (in both a teaching and supporting capacity). As a result, I have extensive knowledge working with young people, in a safeguarding capacity and believe I possess the necessary skills to make an excellent Safeguarding Children's Partnership Coordinator. My current role, as Sixth Form Coordinator, requires me to assist Head of Sixth Form and DSL in the provision of support for students.

To set the tone and standards of student behaviour and attendance, have high expectations, whilst offering support, guidance and advice. It is an extremely multi-faceted role, requiring me to be flexible in often stressful situations. I have also worked for the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, as a Leaving Care PA; which required me to support, advise and offer guidance to 17-21-year-old care leavers with their transition to adulthood.

I was required to follow statutory frameworks, keeping full, accurate and up to date records and act as advocate when liaising with other agencies; always adhering to Safeguarding protocols. Prior to this, I spent six years as an Intensive PA, working for Connexions-Berkshire, as part of a small team supporting young people disengaged from education and learning (and at risk of becoming NEET) who required support, empathy and understanding to overcome their multiple barriers and move forward positively.
