I am applying for this position because I have spent the last 10 months in a special needs primary school. I started off as a teacher assistant then became a family support worker position became available, I have worked with different people within the school and outside agencies from school transport and other services an outside professional and multi agencies.
I also have deep experience with school management systems such as behaviour watch., arbor ,parent pay, sims .
I think I would be perfect for this job position because I had first-hand experience with customer service and families needing support with placements, housing, benefits, mental health support.
I have also dealt with risk assessments and support plans for individuals.
I have a deep knowledge with safeguarding policies and procedures in different settings and in the community as a previous support worker and care worker.
My strong points are I’m very passionate about my work and I work well with caseloads.
The last 6 months I have gained a lot of administration experience with logging daily reports on the school systems and writing factual recordings, going to see families in their own homes.
As a family support worker, I have done family support plans, offered Early help to families engaged with different professionals, signposted families to the support groups and agencies.
My current job role was working with st Basil’s as homeless transition worker for young adults 16-25 in the Birmingham community hub.
I have attended family support meetings with Birmingham children’s trust and other professionals working with children and adults.
I have experience working with vulnerable families, and adults with complex needs.
Currently I have passed my level 4 diploma in domestic violence and level 5 in family support.
