I am a photographer and a recent graduate from the London College of Communication, UAL, with an MA in Photography. I have over 10 years of experience of documentary and commercial photography experience working across south Asia and the United Kingdom.
Between 2012 and 2016, I worked full-time as a photojournalist for leading daily newspapers in Kolkata, India. Some of the highlights of my work include the coverage of the Indian General Elections in 2014 and the Nepal earthquake in 2015.
Subsequently, between 2017 and 2023, I worked independently as a documentary photographer on research-led projects. In 2019, I received a Research and Exploration grant from The National Geographic Society, and in 2020, I was selected among six photographers from Asia by The World Press Photo’s 6x6 Global Talent Program.
In December 2024, I completed my MA in Photography from the London College of Communication, UAL. Our modules included Contemporary Photography Debates, Collaborative Units and Experimental Photographic Practices. During my course, my research focused on the history of decolonial photobook publishing practices in South Asia, particularly in India, Bangladesh and Nepal.
