After 24 years working within the operating theatres I'm now looking into working within safeguarding, wellbeing or pastoral teams within the NHS or education system. Having a teaching degree and previous experience teaching in a primary school, I'm looking to combine my experiences within a team role. My own experience as a parent adopter has broadened my knowledge of safeguarding, mental health, pastoral, learning and medical needs of children and young adults which will build on my knowledge and skills in presenting, evaluating and identifying needs of vulnerable individuals.
Working in the operating theatres as part of an anaesthetic team delivering complex patient care in both planned and emergency surgery situations. Experience with child and adult patients caring and advocating their needs to a team aswell as supporting the relative/care giver with compassion and empathy.
Teaching in a primary school upper key stage 2 class.
Recently, completed a skills bootcamp city and guilds course through the Priory Academies Federation Trust in Educational Support. Awaiting validation.
Diploma and NVQ level 3 in Operating Department Practice.
