- Plan, coordinate and collaboratively teach the Post 16 timetable and other areas according to the Service Improvement Plan (SIP), in accordance with the curriculum and related policies to best meet student's needs
- Oversee all baselines and screening assessment on entry to the college and subsequent baseline testing to monitor effective progress
- Oversee and deliver where necessary programmes of intervention with a focus to improve learner progress in educational subject and outcomes
- Ensure clear differentiated learning objectives for each lesson are set
- Organise a whole college learning environment that enables learners to take ownership of their learning
- Ensure that students access outcomes appropriate to their ability by keeping up with the latest developments available to our students
- Plan and chair all annual reviews of learner's with EHCP or statements of special educational needs and produce written reports as required
- Oversee the developments of detailed records and all evidence of Learner's progress including the records of achievement against EHCP targets
- Ensure the teaching area are in keeping with the learner's needs
- Undertake on-going assessment of the learner's attainment in relation to the scheme of learning and their ILPs
- Ensure that Individual Education / Learning Plans are written and kept up to date for all learners
- Ensure support staff who are involved in planning, are well briefed and have sufficient resources to play an effective role
- Assist and implement a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum for all learners
- Safeguard all students and ensure their safety and well-being
- Manage and monitor teaching and learning resources to ensure effective and efficient use
- Keep up to date with educational developments and autism-related information and disseminate with colleagues as appropriate
- Play a part as a member of the services' multi-professional, Clinical team to support the needs of the SEND learners, ensuring good working relationships with colleagues
- Assist with the training of the learning support assistant, Teachers and other colleagues as appropriate
- Provide good channels of communication between the principle, the education team, parents, carer and relevant multi-agencies
- Delegate responsibilities, work and tasks based on competence of staff and needs of the service, reviewing to promote teamwork and communication
- Support the quality of teaching and learning by monitoring delivery and upholding expectations
- Support, plan and deliver training to staff, related to the post-holder's specialist knowledge as required
- Contribute staff interview and recruitment process, line-managing and termly supervision and appraisal process
- Provide a welcoming and positive atmosphere for all stakeholders
- Provide feedback in reviews where the principle is not available or as directed
- Take responsibility for the line management of learning support assistants
- Develop with the Principle an annual whole college SEN improvement plan
- Ensure that staff exhibit the values set out by the Company and uphold standards of behaviour in accordance with Company policies
- Exercise vigilance in respect of Health and Safety and promptly report all hazards and/or remedying them where appropriate
- Report issues and/or incidents relating to staff and students that have arisen in the day promptly to the appropriate person
- Operate in accordance with Company policies and procedures, with particular reference to Safeguarding, Whistle Blowing, Complaints and Behaviour policies
- Identify and support the adults we support whose progress, development or well-being is affected by changes or difficulties in their personal circumstances, and when to refer them to colleagues for specialist support
- Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the company and supporting the role of other professionals
- Participate in training and performance management as required and achieving challenging professional goals

- Lead a wide range of courses (Autism, PMLD and complex needs) in complex needs provision
- Liaise with external organization and schools to collate students' information and conduct Pre-enrolment interview
- Contribute in enrolments and admissions
- Handle budget
- Maintain students' data and information centralized (IT)
- Organise and Lead the college events – fairs, celebrations & awards parties
- Ensure all the programs and courses are running smoothly, and the students' individual needs are met effectively
- Plan and prepare course outlines
- Prepare Schemes of work and lesson plans
- Carry out assessments, setting up students' targets and review/record students' progresses and write reports
- Celebrate learners' achievements and awards
- Work with Senior Manager to develop, implement and monitor a high-quality sensory curriculum for PMLD and complex needs provision
- Collaborate on issues relating to staff team, timetables, safeguarding concerns, EHCP reviews and professional relationships with external parties
- Chair and co-ordinate Annual reviews meeting with families, students, External professionals and local authorities to review a young person progression and future placement to support them and maximising their future opportunities
