Recent graduate at the Univeristy of Surrey accompanied by a BSc (Hons) degree in Biomedical Science
I am disciplined and more driven than before as a result of the experiences and knowledge that I have acquired throughtout my journey not only as a biomedical student, but as an employee.
Thorough participation in my academic journey as equipped me with solid understandings of core scientific principles in areas including biochemistry, pharmacology, and microbiology, as a result of interactive lectures complemented by a hands-on experience in a laboratory setting. Conducting a research project on the rising problem of gram negative bacteria, in healthcare settings, allowed me to independently display and hone my skills in critical thinking, abstract analysis and extensive research - collaboration with various laboratory partners and supervisors fostered an environment of strong communication and constructive feedback.
In conjuction with my academic journey, I have developed essential skills throughout a number of non-academic related roles across numeral years. My work as a Customer Assistant at Tescos allowed me to develop and strengthen my ability to work within a team through collegues, multitasking - from answering customer enquires whilst simultaneously operating tills, and time management, particularly during store peak hours. My time as a waiter at Rolls-Royce limited helped developed these skills initially, and helped build up a skill in following food/health and safety regulations, a trait which I carried over when conducting laboratory work throughout my BSc course at the University of Surrey.
I am eager to continue growing professionally, leveraging my skills and applying my practical experiences, alongside scientific knowledge, to real-world biomedical challenges, and aim to make meaningful contributions to the industry.
