I am a friendly, reliable and hardworking 17-year-old Year 12 student at Aquinas College. I am particularly interested in understanding people and supporting others, which is reflected in both my studies and my volunteering. I enjoy being involved in my community and taking on responsibility, and I am someone who can be trusted to stay organised and committed.

I am looking for a part-time position where I can gain experience in a professional environment, develop my confidence further, and contribute positively to a team while continuing my studies.

Experience

Volunteer - Youth Groups Leader - Hazel Grove Baptist Church - Hazel Grove

I regularly volunteer at Hazel Grove Baptist Church, where I help with weekly youth groups for primary-aged children. My role includes supporting leaders in organising activities, helping run games, and encouraging children to take part. I help create a positive and welcoming environment and ensure sessions run smoothly.

This experience has strengthened my confidence, patience, and ability to communicate clearly with different age groups. This has also enabled me to work well with young children.

Volunteer - Community Events Assistant - Hazel Grove Baptist Church - Hazel Grove

I have also assisted at church community events and fun days, helping to run stalls such as glitter tattoos. This involved interacting with members of the public, handling money carefully, and working in busy situations. Through this, I developed stronger customer service skills and learned how to stay calm and organised during busier periods.

Worship Team Member - Hazel Grove Baptist Church - Hazel Grove In addition, I am a member of the church worship team. This requires regular rehearsals, commitment, and teamwork. Performing as part of a group has built my confidence and taught me the importance of preparation and reliability, as others depend on you to be ready and organised.

Soft Play Assistant - Let Loose Play Centre (Hazel Grove) - Hazel Grove

I worked at a soft play area assisting with kids parties, doing things such as helping set up tables communitating with children and parents and serving food to customers. I also worked on the front of the house, clearing and wiping tables, hoovering and sweeping floors. Through this job I developed strong communication skills and learnt how to manage responsibilities in a busy soft play setting.
