My name is Taeo Lestrade. I am currently enrolled in the sixth form, where I am studying Mathematics, Spanish, and Religion, Philosophy, and Ethics.
Although I was born and raised in the UK, living abroad has exposed me to diverse cultures and experiences, granting me a unique perspective on the world around me. I am highly focused on academics, consistently achieving top grades. Additionally, I possess a creative mindset and actively engage in art and music, for which I have certificates in guitar, drums, and piano.
The school that I attended placed great emphasis on the value of "Service." I was encouraged to volunteer within the school and the community. This experience opened my eyes to the world of work, which is one of the reasons I am currently in search of employment. I aspire to develop my professional skills in a work environment, improve my problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
I also have experience coordinating a film studio as well as working with people in a professional environment.
As a student, I am primarily seeking weekend work, but may also have availability during the week.
In my capacity as a Film Studio Coordinator for a project commissioned by the Barbados National Cultural Foundation, I was entrusted to oversee the management and organisation of a film studio. My primary role involved conducting interviews with cast and crew members, delving into their on-set experiences.
Throughout this assignment, my colleague and I assumed multifaceted roles, including camera operation, set direction, interview sequence coordination, logistical management, and ensuring a smooth and orderly flow of the event. This experience allowed me to cultivate a range of skills related to studio management and on-set production, enhancing my ability to execute responsibilities in a professional environment.
