As a former journalist and English Literature graduate I have been tutoring students in Birmingham and Manchester for more than 7 years.

I work with children doing both their GCSEs, A-Levels, and individuals who are learning English as a second language.

📚 Build Confidence – Learn to analyse texts and craft essays with ease, but know that this takes time. I foster a resilience and patient with young students; building an awareness that honing a skill like essay writing and truly understanding questions is a sharp, necessary skill.

📝 Refine Writing Skills – We explore the entire school curriculum across state and Independent schools curriculum from creative writing to formal essays with the constant goals of improving clarity via structure, grammar, and writing style.

📖 Boost Grades – Academic goals can feel far away, but with my tailored approach my students have both met and exceeded their target grades, which I attribute to my patient, realistic approach.

💬 Engage in Critical Discussions – The most exciting part of English Literature is understanding the discourse, political landscape at time of writing, along with understanding the why, when, who, what and how. This shows both understanding for students and a real tenacity and flair in their writing.

I currently run private tuition classes alongside my business. I am the CEO, founder and Director of a wellness company.

I have a sub editing qualification from the London School of Publishing.

I began my career in journalism in 2014. I initially supporting the editorial team as an editorial assistant, rising to reporter and sub editor in 2016.

I left that role to start my company, but after a brief time working as a Teaching Assistant in Dubai and Manchester I realised I enjoy tutoring KEY Stage 3-4 and AS level.
