I am a results-driven Operational Risk Associate with a background in Chemical Engineering and a strong analytical mindset. I am experienced in financial data analysis, risk assessment and climate risk policy, whilst being adept at utilizing data analytics tools such as RStudio, Tableau, and Excel to drive insights and inform decision-making. I have a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, communicate complex findings effectively, and support high-level financial decisions and I am passionate about leveraging analytical expertise to enhance risk management strategies in dynamic financial environments.
Operational Risk Associate at Pantheon Ventures (2025-09 – Present)
In my current role within Private Equity, I manage multiple operational risk workstreams to guarantee accurate and timely Board reporting for investment trust products, escalating issues where appropriate. I am responsible for maintaining the risk and control register, tracking incidents through to resolution, and working closely with third-party vendors to ensure processes meet required standards and avoid delays or inaccuracies in external reporting. I also jointly oversee the internal ISAE 3402 process, coordinating with teams across the business to assess control effectiveness and remediate any exceptions identified.
Additionally, I manage the insurance renewal process across Pantheon's global entities to ensure appropriate operational coverage is maintained and maintain the Business Continuity Planning policies to safeguard effective daily business operations. Across all projects, I regularly balance competing deadlines and engage with stakeholders across the business to deliver outcomes efficiently and to a high standard.
Financial Risk Analyst, Supervisory Risk Specialist Division at Bank of England (2022-09 – 2025-09)
In my previous role I analysed supervisory data from regulated firms to identify emerging risk trends and support regulatory decision-making, producing reports used to determine whether further supervisory action was required. I conducted reviews across Private Equity Financing, Algorithmic Trading, Disclosure Standards, and Model Risk Management, building expertise across a broad range of financial and operational risks while leading teams of up to six people to deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines. I also regularly used RStudio, Tableau, and Excel to analyse and present complex datasets to both technical and senior stakeholders, while ensuring internal and external stakeholders were kept informed through briefings and meetings.
Alongside my supervisory responsibilities, I supported projects within the Bank's Climate Hub, contributing to policy work focused on climate exposure data quality and collaborating with the NGFS on the design of climate stress scenarios for firms. Drawing on my academic background in climate science, I worked alongside colleagues in assessing climate-related financial risks and was also responsible for preparing briefings and updates for senior directors ahead of MPC meetings. This required me to rapidly collate, prioritise, and assess information from multiple sources while ensuring accuracy, relevance, and clear communication under tight deadlines.
Summer Intern at Bank of England (2020-06 – 2021-08)
During two consecutive summer internships at the Bank of England, I gained experience across both the PRA and Sterling Markets Division. My work included analysing Citi's capital position during the peak of the Covid-19 period, assessing proximity to regulatory capital buffers, and developing a broader understanding of international banking operations. In my second internship, I worked on the Risk Free Rates Transition team, analysing firms' adherence to LIBOR cessation milestones across traded products and presenting recommendations regarding supervisory action for firms failing to meet expectations.
These experiences strengthened my understanding of financial markets, regulation, and supervisory risk assessment, while also developing my analytical and presentation skills in a professional environment.
BEng in Chemical Engineering – University of Edinburgh (2018-09 – 2022-07)
