- Interacting daily with patients to discuss their meal preferences and ensuring they select items consistent with the diet prescribed by the dietitian. Collaborating with patients, chefs, and dietitians to guarantee patient satisfaction and adherence to nutritional objectives.
- Providing education and support to patients on their prescribed diet in regard to portion sizes, foods that may be restricted and the IDDSI diet. Ensuring that frustrations raised by patients are brought to the clinical dietician and solutions are offered.
- Adhering to all health and safety guidelines in the hospital kitchen. Ensuring cross-contamination is avoided by those who prepare food by answering questions they may have on what foods contain gluten, what foods are vegan-friendly etc.

- Provided assistance with the creation and implementation of Operation Plans within our division. Templates were used to ensure colleagues were working on outcomes that were in line with the National Service Plan (NSP) as approved by the HSE.
- Validated Clinical Practice Guidance documents (CPGs) that were uploaded to the HSE COVID-19 Repository to ensure only accurate and appropriate documents were available to the public.
- Created a Service Improvement Initiative (SII) titled ‘Social Calls - a Guide for Managers’. This guide provided practical tools for managers to implement Social Calls in remote working teams.
- Organized meetings for senior management. This included ensuring a quorum was met for meetings, taking minutes, collating apologies, and ensuring all follow-up actions were completed within an appropriate timeframe.
