As a Team Member I worked in a fast-paced environment, taking orders, preparing food, and ensuring excellent customer service. I developed strong teamwork and communication skills while handling highdemand periods efficiently. My role involved taking orders on the till, maintaining cleanliness, and following food safety regulations.

Working here has enhanced my ability to multitask, problem-solve, and deliver a great customer experience in a dynamic setting. In addition to my front-of-house duties I also gained experience working in the kitchen, preparing food to company standards and ensuring hygiene and safety regulations were met. This hands-on experience strengthened my ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality and efficiency.

I have joined the work and health programme that Igneus provide to help and assist my desire to gain experience in working in new environments and workplaces. I am actively seeking work and the team here are offering both help and learning opportunities to expand on my knowledge, skills, and experience throughout different places around Greater Manchester. Whilst being on time had never been an issue, Igneus meetings have given me so many opportunities to work harder on my commitment to meetings and the times given.

Although I had worked here for a short time, it allowed me to improve on skills I had learned previously throughout the years. This role enhanced my attention to detail, as I meticulously checked the contents and quality of each package, as I had worked during the summer rush it was extremely busy, allowing me to further develop my time management and efficiency skills. I gained even more valuable experience in working as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to maintain a smooth workflow and achieve daily targets.

Hair Stylist/Barber - Barbershop

While I had picked this up during my college years on the side due to the fact I had been working at Primark, spending just over a year doing volunteer work at a barbershop has equipped me with a range of valuable skills and experiences in a customer-focused environment. I developed strong interpersonal and communication skills, greeting clients, managing appointments, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role enhanced my time management abilities, as I assisted in coordinating the flow of clients and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

I gained hands-on experience in basic grooming tasks, product knowledge, and the importance of hygiene and sanitation in a personal care setting. Working closely with the barbers, I learned the significance of teamwork and the value of providing excellent customer service. This volunteer experience also improved my problem-solving skills, as I frequently handled client inquiries and facilitated a smooth operation within the barbershop.
