Hi, I'm Ted, I'm a Machine Leaning Engineer working for a large gambling company that is listed on the New York stock exchange. On a daily bases I carry out data analysis work, create and optimise machine learning models as well as maintaining data pipelines. I have two years experience working in the machine learning/ data science industry as well as a first class bachelors degree in computer science from Swansea University (UK). Machine Learning Engineer – at Bally’s Corporation (London) where I currently work in a large machine learning team of around 20 engineers who specialise in creating, deploying and maintaining models designed to be used by the wider company. Some examples of these models include churn predictions, customer lifetime value predictions, recommendation systems and more. Many of these models we have developed are valued at over a £1 million PA with some valued over £10 million PA.

Working for a multi-billion dollar corporation has given me valuable experience implementing the ML workflow at scale and I now feel very comfortable leading projects starting from design and feasibility meetings with stakeholders, to model and pipeline development, then through to model deployment in ETL and CI/CD systems and model maintenance.

Machine Learning Developer – at LineView Solutions (Birmingham) where I worked in a small team to design, build and roll out regression and time- series models for predicting production line outages, downtimes and completion times.

This role allowed me to become familiar with the Microsoft Azure Machine Learning platform and apply the skills I had developed throughout my degree, by developing prototype enterprise software. The role also provided valuable experience working with multinational companies such as Coca Cola, PepsiCo, Danone and more.
