- Collaborate with Xcene Research on Therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) of sickle cell patients enrolled in the GBT (Global Blood Therapeutics) clinical program.
- Operate and maintain specialized laboratory equipment, troubleshoot issues, and ensure proper calibration to uphold precision in testing.

- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, pathologists, and laboratory staff to ensure effective communication and coordination on the quality of test results and their interpretation to advance patient care.
- Stay updated on advancements in QMS, hematology and clinical chemistry, participating in training programs to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Ensure that laboratory personnel adhere to policies and manuals for accurate and reliable results, and that pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic phases of testing are strictly followed.
- Ensure proficiency testing is carried out, reviewed, and corrective actions are taken as needed.
- Ensure laboratory conditions are appropriate for testing and that a safe environment is maintained.
- Document and report any significant deviations from established performance characteristics and take remedial actions.
- Mentor and train laboratory personnel on QMS and biosafety standards.
- Validate, verify, and ensure precision of new auto analyzers and upload results to the portal.
- Gather and evaluate monthly quality indicators and quality objectives data to identify and improve process efficiency in line with organization strategic objectives.
- Perform daily Internal Quality Control (IQC) runs and regularly compute Levey-Jennings Quality Control charts to monitor performance.
- Solve problems with specimens, testing, and instrumentation, and evaluate new tests/equipment.
- Update and review TAT, provide RCA and CAPA when required.
- Participate in Annual Audit for all local laboratories under the Lancet Nigeria network and prepare the HQ team for internal audits from the parent Cerba-Lancet Africa, South Africa.
- Create/review policies and procedures for implementation and monitoring of Quality management system and follow processes for control, storage and archiving of documents.
