Work Experience - Tilbury Douglas - Derby, Derbyshire

(2025-06 - 2026-04)

My course requires me to have work experience (315 hours in total) 209.5 hours was with Tilbury Douglas in June 2025 the project is to make Beckett primary school a new 2 storey building I learn daily from Quantity surveyor's tasks like gantt chart, gain more surveying skills from land surveyors and get materials and methods explained by the site and project manager which enhances my knowledge and experience in a work environment.

Work Experience - Greenhatch group - Derby, Derbyshire

I was with construction company Greenhatch for only a month but I was taught how to set up total stations and survey a site. In addition, I was in groups of 4 to create our own project company (Bee Hive), the task was converting a garage into a classroom, although I was assigned as the architect which was me using revit in renovating, I was also supporting my teammate in their other job roles like land, quantity surveying and project management. The experience strengthened my communication skills and teamwork as we relied on each other's feedback to perfect any flaws.

This attitude lead to our victory in our team's final presentation, which made me proud of the quality of professionalism and confidence we displayed.

Day Care Worker - Schools Out Club Derby Ltd - Derby, Derbyshire

As a daycare worker at the schools out club, I supported the daily care and supervision of children by maintaining a clean and safe environment, including cleaning toilets and tidying activity areas. I engaged the youth in sporting and DIY activities, encouraging, teamwork, creativity, and participation while assisting with general clean up duties at the end of sessions and ensuring the youth's safety and enjoyment.

Work Experience - Audi - Derby, Derbyshire

Proven ability to engage and communicate effectively with others, honed through my work experience with Derby Audi. Whilst being there skills that was being utilised for the success of my performance was marketing, advertising which is displayed on their instagram whilst I was pitching the sale for a new car model, public speaking, customer service and organisation skills.
