Thomas Atkinson

Recently graduated from Liverpool John Moores University with a degree in Sports Journalism. Experience in written and broadcast journalism as well as skills in editing, live reporting, reporting, blogging and social media. Various accounts of experience in the journalism industry, including two weeks and nation wide broadcast company ‘News UK’ in London, where I worked as a news intern for TalkSPORT, Virgin Radio, Times Radio and Talk TV.

• Two weeks work experience at News UK in London, working as a News Intern for multiple national radio stations.
• Acted as the social media manager for the LJMU football team, taking images, editing and creating graphics for the page and posting updates.
• Reported at multiple football and sporting matches, including, Liverpool vs Rangers in the Champions League in the Anfield press box.
• Official Photographer at the Sunshine Festival in August 2019. Taking and editing professional images at an event for over 10,000 people, with performing acts such as Busted and Scouting for Girls.

Completed a three year course of Sports Journalism at Liverpool John Moores University. Graduated with a first degree. During this period I acted as a course representative, liaising between the students and the lecturers.
