I have a devotion for problem solving and innovation, and I am looking to make a difference to the world that I live in. I am very enthusiastic about immersing myself fully into the life of an accountant - utilising critical thinking skills, working hard and working well within a team, which to me are all vital attributes. My time studying Accounting and Finance at Edge Hill University empowered me to discover that studying towards becoming a fully qualified charted accountant is what I would like to do in the future. Throughout my education, I have become particularly drawn to quantitative reasoning and analytical thinking, which I want to carry over to a professional environment. Accounting is a subject that I know is ideally fitted to my interests and aptitudes. I am driven by the fact that it can lead to a wide assortment of future opportunities - specifically. I would sincerely like to be part of a future where business professionals, myself included, help to develop solutions which have a positive impact on society. Our ability to create and enjoy a sustainable future in which the natural wonders of the world are preserved is at the forefront of my ambition
Whilst working at ZS Accountants I was given the responsibility of greeting clients in the practice, conveying great customer service skills to ensure the clients left satisfied. Moreover, my main role was inputting statements and invoices into Xero and Sage accounting software. This tested my problem solving skills to ensure the payables were processed correctly into the system including VAT.
