An experienced Child and Youth Support Worker with senior care professional experience and over five years' experience supporting children, young people, and vulnerable adults with complex needs, including autism (ASD), ADHD, PTSD, learning disabilities, and behaviours that challenge. I hold a Level 3 City & Guilds Diploma in Residential Childcare and worked as a team leader within youth residential care settings. My approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and person-centred, with a strong focus on safeguarding, emotional regulation, independence, and positive outcomes.
I have experience supporting compliance requirements including safeguarding procedures, incident reporting, care documentation, and multi-agency collaboration with families and external professionals. I am confident working within regulated environments and understand the importance of maintaining high standards aligned with local authority and organisational policies. I am trained in Safeguarding, First Aid, Medication Administration and PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy) and apply these frameworks to ensure safety, dignity, and consistency in care delivery.
Alongside my professional practice, I am a qualified Meditation Teacher and have delivered mindfulness and wellbeing support to young people and adults, helping to improve emotional regulation, confidence, resilience, and social engagement to members of the public. I am now seeking a Youth Club Manager role where I can use my leadership experience, safeguarding knowledge, and passion for inclusive youth development to support the delivery of high-quality care and contribute to a safe, engaging, and well-managed youth environment.
