I am a user focussed designer who codes, with extensive experience of designing complex, responsive web applications. I am a problem solver who is able to take a project from initial research and ideation through prototyping and design to delivery and ongoing improvement; always with an eye on the details.

I am an open and clear communicator and am comfortable working with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.

I am self reliant and able to manage complex projects independently. In my previous role as designer/director of my own company I was often responsible for research, planning, design, implementation, time management and delivery.

I have also spent significant time working under contract for larger organisations. I am comfortable slotting into varied teams, adapting and fitting in with whatever systems or methodology the company culture requires.

For the last two years I have been working as part of small teams on large scale web applications. This has included working directly with product owners and stakeholders as well as other designers, project managers, javascript engineers and back-end developers.

I have a particular interest in accessibility and recently completed the practical-accessibility.today/ course.

I am comfortable using Git workflows.

I am a skilled Figma user, utilising the full feature set to produce wireframes, UI designs and interactive prototypes. I am also experienced with Sketch, XD and other popular design software.

I have over 10 years experience in digital design with the last few years spent focussed on the design of SaaS products.
