I've been working on the annotation of the human and mouse genomes as part of the GENCODE project, first at the Sanger Institute and now at EMBL-EBI since 2008. We produce the default geneset that is displayed in the Ensembl genome brower. I am currently working on integrating a variety of next-gen data into the human geneset in order to enhance and improve the existing annotation.
