Work Experience at Olympic Marble

During my time at work experience at Olympic Marble, a small family-owned business, I observed and understood how business is run. I spent time in the office learning about the day-to-day jobs that are significant in order to get the business running. I learned how to input invoices into the Sage software and made tea and coffee for the customers in an attempt to make them feel comfortable in the working environment.

This helped me understand how important it is to value customers and ensure that they are feeling welcomed and comfortable within an establishment.

Student Tutor at Hampton gardens school

Throughout school years between Year 10 to Year 12, I have taken the time to tutor students that need extra support in certain subjects. I thoroughly enjoy mentoring and helping people improve to become a better and more resilient learner. In doing so, I have also improved my communication skills by teaching myself that speaking to people you do not know is important in developing my own skills and gaining confidence within myself.
