I’m Tommy Riordan, a brewing enthusiast with a solid background in brewery operations and a love for connecting with people.
Robinsons, I worked as a Brewery Operator, mastering the ins and outs of brewing, quality control, and recipe tweaking to make sure every beer was top-notch. Before that, I was a Bartender and Social Media Editor at Forrest Road Brewing Co., where I got to engage with customers and create content that brought the brand to life. I’m a proactive problem-solver, shaped by my varied experiences in retail and media production, and I thrive in fast-paced environments.
I’m passionate about world cultures and the global brewing scene, and I’m excited to use my technical know-how and enthusiasm to help producers craft better beers. Outside of work, I’m into sports, filmmaking, music, and exploring the world with curiosity
My beer-related experience is rooted in hands-on brewing and customer engagement. As a Brewery Operator at Frederic Robinsons (July 2024–recently ended), I managed the full brewing process, from wort production to fermentation, conducted quality control checks, and developed recipes to ensure consistent, high-quality beer.
Co. (November 2022–January 2024), I worked as a Bartender, connecting with customers and sharing my passion for craft beer, while also creating social media content to promote the brewery’s brand and engage its audience.
I hold a BTEC Level 3 Diploma (Distinction) in TV & Film from Aquinas College, Stockport, which sharpened my creative and communication skills, valuable for client engagement and training delivery. Additionally, I earned GCSEs (A-C) at Hulme Hall Grammar School in subjects including English, Psychology, Drama, Maths, and Music, providing a well-rounded foundation for problem-solving and interpersonal skills relevant to the brewing and sensory industry.
