With over a decades worth of experience in broadcasting, delivering national and international news to millions on a daily basis on the world's most trusted news outlet (the BBC), I am an expert in communications. I understand how to gain the trust of the public and am a specialist in engaging the public when delivering information. I can deliver results quickly and efficiently, whilst motivating my team to get the best out of everyone I work with.
My role means I work confidently under extreme pressure digesting information in minutes before delivering it in which ever form it is required for any form of audience.
I am a seasoned communications and PR expert with over a decade of experience in national and international broadcasting. As a Correspondent for BBC News since 2015, I have delivered high-impact journalism across all of the BBC's outlets - text online, social media, audio and video services - - which reach millions daily. I have covered major global events including Brexit, Covid-19, national elections, and international crises such as the Syrian civil war and Brussels bombings.
My role has meant leadership has been key - managing teams both on the ground and in editorial offices, as well as advising senior BBC editors, bosses, on content strategy. My ability to digest complex information under pressure and communicate clearly to diverse audiences has been a crucial part of my work, and continues to develop as we learn more from those that consume information online.
As a Foreign Correspondent, I have learnt how to demonstrate adaptability and build trusted relationships with stakeholders ranging from government officials to grassroots activists across Europe and the Middle East in a short space of time.
Earlier roles at BBC Wales and ITV News helped me develop as a multi-skilled journalist, proficient in reporting, producing, and presenting in bi-lingually, being able to video and audio edit and record.
With a Master’s in Broadcast Journalism and a strong foundation in public engagement, I am now poised to transition my storytelling expertise and strategic communication skills into a new career.
