Tony Robson

With over 25 years of experience as a Project Manager and Senior Project Manager, I consider myself a strong candidate for this role. I have been responsible for managing projects and programmes of work professionally and responsively – in both permanent and contract positions.

All projects needed to continue developing existing relationships as well as establishing new ones with internal sales, solutions architects, technical and support staff, customers, partners, third-party providers, and subcontractors. I possess excellent client-facing skills and have acquired contract management knowledge, having established underpinning contracts with suppliers and terms and conditions contracts for end-users.

I have created various forms of project artefacts, including project initiation documentation, project plans, risk and stakeholder matrices, and business cases. I have written Risk Assessments, method statements, scopes of work, as well as Business Cases and detailed Project Plans for the projects I have delivered. Additionally, I have reviewed and approved RAMS from third-party suppliers prior to work commencing.

I have used traditional project documentation, such as RAID Logs, change logs, and business cases,and have latterly introduced structure into the workplace that better supports existing working practices, as well as introducing new processes and procedures.

I have delivered simultaneous projects from initiation, through development, proof of concept, testing, delivery and finally closure. Projects have lasted from as short as 3 months to as long as 2 years, with budgets of up to £1,000,000. I have worked with sales teams before contract award to support the sales process and secure contracts. I have also participated in bid submissions for larger, long-term opportunities.

I have delivered Senior and Project Management responsibilities, which have included staff supervision, management, support, mentorship, guidance, and, where necessary, direction. I have contributed to their development through formal 1-2-1 processes, ad-hoc support and occasionally disciplinary measures. I try to draw upon my extensive experience to illustrate the point I am making.

I am computer literate and can articulate thoughts and decisions concisely.
