My duties as a Digital Forensic Specialist involves performing Digital Forensics examinations. This includes acquisition of data, analysis of data and reporting of this data. Frequent contact with police and other members of the criminal justice system with experience giving evidence in court. I ensure compliance with quality management systems, working to ISO 17025 standards. As a specialist, I train my fellow colleagues on any examination processes that they may need help with.
I am a certified examiner of various forensic examination tools, this includes Cellebrite, MSAB and Oxygen. I have experience in advanced examination techniques, dealing with provenance and distribution of data.
I am also a part of a small yet highly skilled team focusing on complex repairs of mobile devices, I have successfully completed various forensic repair courses which deal with data extraction using advanced techniques such as ISP, JTAG, Chip Offs, and including on-board repair. I have been trained to deal with devices that have been deemed biohazardous in a safe forensic environment.
