Part of my role meant that on occasions I had to search members of staff, contractors and vehicles, again my communication skills were used to keep them at ease whilst this took place. I worked as part of a team on a 12 hour shift working 4 on 4 off, we would have to monitor the fire alarms and also the cctv system as well as controlling the access gates to the sites for the delivery lorries, carry out locking and unlocking procedures and carry out dynamic risk assessments when needs arose.

This role meant that I was checking the metal ingots by scanning them under water to see if there were any internal cracks, my attention to detail had to remain high during this process.
