Warehouse Operative at Woodstock co-Hereford (2025-03 – Present)

A warehouse operative picking kitchens and bathrooms using counter balance and picking trucks. Ready for new challenge and getting back into management production technician at Hereford Contract Canning-Hereford (2018-06 – 2025-03)

As a filler/packer operator as well as an FLT driver I am also trained on the de palletiser and palletiser and have a forklift truck license. I am also trained in all laboratory processes involving canning of products to a high specification and always willing to learn more.

Security manager at Sodexo UK and Ireland-Hereford (2004-04 – 2018-03)

In 2013 I was promoted to the role of security manager at Heineken UK. I am now in charge of 16 other security officers. My role now involved producing the rosters for the officers at the two security lodges, writing any reports needed for any incident requiring further investigation, producing audits and KPI paperwork and covering any shifts at short notice.

This shows that I am conscientious and can remain controlled under pressure. In 2014 my team and I became runners up in the Sodexo's security team of the year award.

This has since been taken over by Heineken. My role involved patrolling an 88 acre site on foot and or in a patrol vehicle. During the patrols I had to multi task using my communication skills on the radio and my observation skills whilst carrying out the patrols for any suspicious behaviour or any health hazards.

Part of my role meant that on occasions I had to search members of staff, contractors and vehicles, again my communication skills were used to keep them at ease whilst this took place. I worked as part of a team on a 12 hour shift working 4 on 4 off, we would have to monitor the fire alarms and also the cctv system as well as controlling the access gates to the sites for the delivery lorries, carry out locking and unlocking procedures and carry out dynamic risk assessments when needs arose.

Machine operator and setter at Amcor Flexibles (2003-05 – 2004-04)

I was employed by them as a machine operator and setter working on a 12 hour shift pattern. I was working on 3 slitting machines to a high quality specification.

Ultra Sonic Testing operator at Special Metals Wiggins (1994-09 – 2003-05)

During my time at Special Metals I worked in the Ultra Sonic Testing area. This role meant that I was checking the metal ingots by scanning them under water to see if there were any internal cracks, my attention to detail had to remain high during this process. Once this was complete I would then use the saw and slugging machines to cut the metal ingots to the sizes required.

I worked on permanent nights as a stock checker. I also helped covering the production lines.

I joined Davies Brooks straight from school as a drayman or delivery person, I would assist with the deliveries to shops and public houses and also deal with the cash transactions.

Started as a production operative and within 2 weeks I was offered a shift managers position which I accepted. I was in charge of 7 other staff members as shift manager which until I left I felt that I had turned the shift around and helped make them into one of the stronger shifts in the company. The reason for leaving was that I didn't believe the company would last so decided to leave.
