As a final-year MEng student at UCL, I have a strong foundation in Computer Science.
My coursework achievements demonstrate my ability to apply theory in practical contexts, and my recent project at St Margaret's Hospice, where I worked with a diverse team to create a web application that uses Python for data analysis and predictions; this deepened my interest in Machine Learning, and led me to pursue minors in ML and Maths. Notably, I developed a program using Twitter's API to analyse tweet sentiment towards Covid and its correlation with infection rates and deaths, showcasing my data-driven approach. I've additionally undertaken several other projects, such as a Rubik's Cube solver and a Tetris AI.
To further enhance my coding skills, I've completed various courses, including Harvard’s CS50 AI course, which led to me undertaking the interesting project of using TensorFlow for road sign detection from images. My dedication to learning and growth led me to tackle challenging projects in C and C++, including enhancing security through external credentials and implementing data structures like red-black trees for efficient data retrieval. Additionally, I have done many Java projects, such as implementing a note taking application using JSPs, and creating a shell that parses commands using ANTLR.
Recently, I completed a Technology Developer Internship at Barclays in Knutsford, UK, from July 2024 to September 2024. During this internship, I developed a web app to suggest database technologies based on project requirements, using React TS and Python, and hosted the database on AWS. I engaged in Agile development processes, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, utilising Jira for project management and tracking.
Additionally, I gained hands-on experience in deploying applications using Docker and Kubernetes, and learned about CI/CD pipelines with GitLab.
Along with the practical experience I have gained, I’ve recently undertaken a collaborative research module at UCL on separation logic, which builds on my cross learning skills.
