Vaia Prassou

My educational background and my eight years of experience in the field make me confident to believe I can tackle any challenges that may arise.

My first job was at a publishing house, which helped me learn and deeply understand the basic principles of design, prepress and various printing methods. My next job was at a design studio, which was a great opportunity to develop my creativity and work with big clients. In this role I learned many things about digital media, website design, social media campaigns, online banners and newsletters.

I also had the chance to design brochures, catalogues and infographics for various public bodies (such as Greek Film Centre, various Hellenic Ministries). In my last role, I was working for a kids e-learning platform. My role included designing content for the platform, the last two years focusing on video animation and motion design.

I was also designing promotion material for the company, from video ads to presentations.

The last year I have been focusing on user experience design and more specifically in inclusive and ethical design. My areas of interest include researching in accessibility and creating user-centered solutions/products for everyone. I strongly believe that as designers, we are collectively responsible for coming up with solutions that create a more positive, inclusive and safe landscape for all, regardless of their physical abilities, socio-economic status, age, digital literacy, or any other factor.

I have a strong knowledge of the Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat Pro, After Effects and Premiere) – using most of them on a daily basis, as well as a good familiarity with Figma. Besides that, I can easily work both in Mac and Windows operating systems. And I have a great experience in project management and collaboration software such as Miro, Jira, Slack, Trello, Notion.

My biggest assets are attention to detail, multi-tasking and organisation. I am a very reliable person and I am used at undertaking whole projects by myself, but also at working as a part of a team.
