My responsibilities WERE to safeguard the site property, our guests, staff, and all associated properties. Working as part of the team to provide an efficient and professional security service.
Job Responsibilities: Maintaining a presence in public areas and identifies any suspicious persons or objects. Having a good awareness of relevant security regulations, carried out statutory requirements of these regulations and ensures records kept as necessary Administering, maintaining, and monitoring the CCTV system, supplying footage of incidents to the Police when required, overseeing and maintaining the Guest key system and guest safes. Attending and reacting to all Fire Alarms and playing a leading role during any investigations or evacuations.
Assisting in all searches for suspect devices and investigating any reports of suspect items, bags, or objects. Investigating all accidents, incidents and crimes or suspected crimes as appropriate. Ensuring that colleagues follow company policies relating to smoking and drinking alcohol and reports any infringements of policy to the Line Manager.
Reacting to all emergencies and taking appropriate action in respect of police, fire, and local authorities or otherwise. Reporting to Line Manager or Control room. Reporting all security, health and safety and fire hazards taking whatever action is possible to eliminate risks to persons and property.
Carrying out a correct and efficient handover at the start or end of a shift and inform Safety and Security Team Leader of any incidents and events which may require further enquiry. Handling situations discreetly and without a resort to force, always showing politeness and restraint. Maintaining the accuracy of daily Security Log and Security Reports and required by the Safety and Security Team Leader.
