I am fun, energetic and told that I have a great sense of humour, but also very professional. I have worked in education as well as mentored/counselled for the past 19 years. I have been working at London South East Colleges for the past 8 years, coordinating work experience placements for young people. This also includes carrying out full risk assessments on businesses and liaising with managers and external agencies. I also line manage a team of job coaches.
I am also a Designated Safeguarding Lead. I am familiar with and up to date with Keeping Children Safe In Education 2021 and it’s updated guidelines, as well as understanding Safeguarding section 47 and Children In Need section 17. I am confident in implementing the principles of safeguarding as in to empower, protect, prevent, be accountable, work in partnership with agencies and the proportionality in the understanding of the risks posed.
