Since moving to the UK from Canada I have been Joint Manager (Licensee) of The Crown Hotel in Emsworth which has nine bedrooms, a restaurant and a bar. I have been involved in all aspects of Hotel Management, the impact of which is reflected by over a 100% uplift on annual revenues since taking over. I have since left as the Hotel was sold many years ago. I have returned to my Administrative Life.
My usual weekly work week consists of 80 to 120hrs.
Customer Service is always number one priority
Ensuring the staff is well trained in customer service
Maintaining cleanliness of the pub, restaurant and hotel
Creating menus alongside the Chef and Sous Chef
Managing the stock for the kitchen to ensure all meals on the menu will be honoured
Keeping stock in control for all of the Hotel, Pub and Restaurant
Cleaning the lines on a weekly basis
Assist in monthly stock take
Greeted guests arriving for meetings and offering refreshment
Guide the guest to the Manager they are to meet with
Create documents in order for people able to enter Portsmouth Naval Base
Keep the account of purchase orders up to date
Updating website with special Work Orders for each Vessel
Process accounting for each of the Vessels

Arrive at 7am, make sure all of my tables have required items (butter, jams, cutlery, cups and saucers etc.)
Arrange for coffee, tea, water, orange juice, apples juice.
Address all customers that are situated in my station.
Coffee, Tea, Orange Juice, Apple Juice and Toast provided immediately The service is buffet, however we do provide menu offers as well.
Assist in menu or buffet services.
Once service is completed, clean and provide a company approved station completeness.

Assembling and bagging diagnostic kit sub assemblies.
Packing sub assemblies and other kit components on pouches.
Check weighing and other quality assurance actions.
Sealing packaged pouches using and electric heat sealer.
