I am passionate about quality care and have the tools, knowledge and experience to support managers to achieve safe, effective quality care to the individuals who use our services.
I have been a registered manager and deputy manager (B&M Care - sept 16 - Oct 19) and know what is required to fulfil the role and make a successful service or home for individuals who live there. I am currently a quality improvement officer (North Yorkshire County Council - Sept 19 - present) and support registered managers and their teams when they have received inadequate or requires improvement results from a CQC inspection or contractual baseline assessment from the local authority or have received concerning feedback via safeguarding or whistleblowing. I support with improvements and intervention planning to help turnaround the service/home by having an in depth knowledge of all areas of quality and compliance. I know which tools and resources to use to help implement improvements and sustain them. Common areas of support include; medication management, team culture, IPC practices, safeguarding, good governance, defensible recording, incident and accident analysis, recruitment, support planning and risk assessing. I am a supportive leader in care and always make time to listen and support my team.
My most recent education was my level 5 in health and social care (T2 training) I have also completed a management pathway in the same year. I also have a level 3 in recognising excellence in care.
