I am a reliable and committed A-level student receiving a variety of skills in being: collaboration and the skill of multitasking, whilst also adapting to challenges in a workspace. I work in a team, whilst having a self-motivation character to push myself to do more. I'm eager to do more work even when finished with the tasks that I have completed, adapting to different tasks when asked.
I am thrilled to embark on my new career choices, where I will gain additional skills, I will use in the future of the corporate world
Darrent Valley Hospital - I had the opportunity to learn about hospital life and how nurses and doctors perform their job roles. For example, how they deal with data in the system, interviews and time management. I also worked as a healthcare assistant, temporarily caring for all types of patients by interacting with them, providing them with the food and toiletries they required and helping supervise them.
I believe I learnt the skill of communication, with a great amount of people, which will help me when attending to customers.
Erith Library - I worked at Erith Library helping to deal with and store information in databases of library materials. I researched new books and materials by reading book reviews, and publishers' announcements to help direct customers to the correct catalogue for books. This job helped me significantly improve my customer service skills such as building empathy for each customer, not only did this better my relationship with the customers, but it also caused them to come more regularly.
This job role also helped me to increase my speed and efficiency whilst dealing with several customers at a time, I needed to be swift in signing in books for customers, while also doing the job effectively and not rushing.
School council - I worked alongside the school board to help provide the school with a better education system for each pupil and also help improve the school's conditions. I helped talk to the county officials of my previous school area, Tunbridge Wells, relaying information from the pupils on what they wanted to be added to the school. I also took charge of other duties in school such as leading assemblies when people were not available, whilst helping encourage school principles throughout the school.
This taught me the indispensable skill of leadership, which I believe is essential in a work environment, to provide vision and to motivate others to achieve their full potential in the workplace.
Teaching assistant - I helped support the younger years, helping with activities and lessons. I also helped organise the teacher's inclusive activities for all pupils. I helped younger years with their problems in regard to academic and personal.
I learnt the skill of patience and how to deal with critical situations, such as disputes among children. I believe this will help me in a work environment, as in times of tension, I will be able to work collaborative and help ease the strain between potential workers and also customers.
I am currently studying to apply for medicine, taking Chemistry, Biology and Psychology A level. Going to university next year Septemeber
I am also predicted A*AA
