My roles as a Technical Officer, Research Assistant, and Junior Research Fellow provided hands-on experiences with sample collection, nucleic acid extraction, PCR, bacterial assays, DNA sequencing, and data analysis. I leveraged my academic training in biotechnology to contribute to impactful research projects investigating antibiotic resistance, diabetic foot ulcers, and other themes.
My strengths in analytical thinking, attention to detail, and technical capabilities enabled me to generate high-quality data and assist in publishing findings in reputable journals. I actively participated in scientific workshops and seminars to continuously expand my knowledge. Through my research positions, I honed exceptional problem-solving abilities, decision-making skills, and interpersonal communication necessary for collaborative scientific work.
I have built a strong academic foundation in the biological sciences through my undergraduate and postgraduate training. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from Mumbai University in 2015, gaining broad knowledge in biotech principles. I then pursued a Master of Science in Molecular Biology and Human Genetics from Manipal Academy of Higher Education, graduating in 2017.
My master's studies allowed me to specialize in advanced concepts in molecular biology, genetics, cell biology, immunology, and biochemistry. I completed coursework and lab research focused on microbial biofilms, factors regulating polymicrobial growth, and low-level laser treatment effects. My postgraduate thesis project investigated the impacts of laser therapy and antibiotics on bacterial biofilms.
In addition to my formal education, I have completed certifications in relevant skills like metagenomics, data analytics, and big data fundamentals. Currently, I am applying my background through work experiences while preparing to further advance my education through a master's program in bioinformatics. My strong academic training equips me with the foundation necessary to succeed in future microbiology and molecular biology research roles.
