I recently completed my certificate in care giving and currently working as a volunteer in a health care facility.

I am a team player, team builder, I work under minimum supervision. I am also passionate about what I do and am result oriented.

I would like to be considered for a caregiver role. I am a certified healthcare assistant passionate about providing intuitive, supportive care to the elderly. Compassionate, respectful, conscientious with a good knowledge of elderly care, keen to support clients in carrying out everyday activities independently and with dignity.I recently completed a caregiver course at Brooklyn Training institute, with a focus on client-centred care.

This course built on my experience of caring for my mother, who initially suffered from hypertension and later suffered a stroke, leaving her paralyzed. I gained an appreciation for understanding a client's specific needs by asking targeted questions which helped me gain a better perspective on how best to aid clients with respect and dignity.I also completed an internship at Guru Nanak Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya, where I further consolidated my learnings from the caregiver course. Putting into practice moving patients from beds to wheelchairs, carrying out personal care through bed baths, and assisting patients with oral hygiene and toileting needs whilst ensuring patient dignity and confidentiality were maintained.
