I am excited to submit my application for this Research Technician position. After carefully comparing the roles of this position to my skills and interests, I jumped at the chance to apply. 1 I have more than 6 years experience in a tertiary clinical laboratory doing phlebotomy as well as processing of samples in haematology, clinical chemistry, virology, microbiology, and blood banking.
2 I am trained using different machines for testing, but I also know how to manually process tests such as crossmatching of blood, blood typing, semenalysis, urinalysis, fecalysis, CBC, culture identification and antibiotic sensibility of virus and bacteria. I can also prepare culture media and do GRAMS and AFB staining and reading.
3 I am organized at work, I used to record and keep track of the virology results of more than three thousand blood donors that we collected a year.
