Over the last twenty years, I have been involved in leadership, research and teaching activities in higher education at different institutions in the UK and Overseas. During this time I have been actively involved in many multidisciplinary projects which developed my expertise in the area of Autonomous non-destructive monitoring. This includes online condition monitoring and statistical analysis for complex sets of data.
The research is mainly of experimental nature using vibration measurements and surface monitoring sensors, especially Acoustic Emission technique, while many sophisticated and cutting-edge signal processing approaches have been generated to produce autonomous diagnostic indicators for the behaviour and quality of a number of mechanical processes
