I am passionate about working in the journalism industry
I have gained various work experiences in print and online media. When I worked as an Online Content Writer at Hong Kong Economics Times, I wrote 5 articles per day and applied to understand of public opinion, social media, and traditional media use to create engaging and attention-grabbing stories. Besides, I performed research and checked all facts of the different estate and stocks to maintain a high standard of journalistic integrity.
I also wrote pieces and news stories for online publications and magazines, coordinating images and layout to ensure proper presentation. Therefore, I have developed strong copywriting, editing, interviewing, organizational and multi-tasking skills. Moreover, I have gained some voluntary work experience as an Editor and Reporter for Student Practicum Newspapers and Online Newspapers during my bachelor’s degree at Hong Kong Shue Yan University.
Thus, my relevant work experience in journalism makes me a strong candidate for this role.
During my study for Bachelor of Arts: Journalism and Mass Communication, I am equipped with a wide range of knowledge and insights in journalism. I have taken different courses, such as Magazine Writing, News Editing, advertising writing, etc. During my degree, I have developed strong analytical skills and the ability to read, manage and present complicated information in a simple article.
Also, I have joined an exchange program to study at Glasgow Caledonian University. It allows me to meet people from different countries, gain international insights and broaden my horizon. Therefore, I have the knowledge and skills required for this role.
