PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY

I am a SAS Grade doctor in Adult Psychiatry with NHS experience across inpatient and community settings since 2006. I have experience in comprehensive psychiatric assessment, risk assessment, capacity assessment, and multidisciplinary working. I completed Section 12(2) approved course in 2025 with sound working knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 (amended 2007). I am fully GMC registered, up to date with CPD, and seeking Section 12 approval to support statutory mental health assessments.

• MRCPsych Part A & B (2024) conducted by the Royal College of Psychiatrist UK

• Psychopharmacology Master Course conducted by British Association of Psychopharmacology April 2012 
• Diploma in Occupational medicine – completed the course and assignments
• MBBS Sri Lanka August 1991: Faculty of Medicine, University of Ruhuna, Galle, Sri Lanka.
