I've been on employment since 1993 where I worked I Education before moving to children and young peoples services for 17 years before qualifying as a level 5 counsellor and level 4 hypnotherapist in 2022. I am passionate about our future generations mental health, and feel that all children should be given the opportunity to learn and understand their emotions and behaviour in order to gain emotional intelligence and resilience, so they don't grow up to be struggling with their mental health as young adults.
Qualified as an NNEB nursery nurse in 1993, i them worked in two different schools over a period of 12 years.
I then moved on to working in social care in the children and young people and families services for over 27 years working in many departments within the child protection arena.
In 2022 I completed Level 5 integrative therapy counselling diploma and level 4 hypnotherapy diploma and since then have been working in the private sector as an EAP wellbeing counsellor.
I'm ready to leave this and return to my calling of working with children and young people by utilising my counselling skills to help support our young peoples mental health journeys.
