Newly qualifying Occupational Therapist with two and a half years' hands-on experience in a specialist rehabilitation setting, progressing from Health Care Assistant to OT Assistant and working under OT supervision across complex physical, cognitive and behavioural presentations. I bring a strong practical grounding in the OT process, gained through supervised assistant practice and six months of self-directed shadowing of the OT team, which is what first inspired me to train as an OT. I combine this clinical background with several years working directly with children and young people managing trauma, complex behaviour, and risk, and bring transferable skills in assessment, goal-setting and person-centred intervention across a range of settings and age groups.
