I’m a graduate Civil Engineer, qualified Welding Inspector and time served Welder with experience in Fabrication seeking potential opportunities on the Hinkley point C site.
I've recently graduated a BSc Civil Engineering course at Leeds Beckett University with a 2:2 grade. Prior to this I completed my CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspection Certification and moved into QC, firstly in Document Control then moving onto a trainee position in Quality Engineering; writing, tracking and distributing Quality documentation and compiling LTQR’s for completed jobs. Due to complications caused by the COVID – 19 pandemic this position was made redundant, which is why I sought to re-train in Civil Engineering.
I am currently working a summer placement at the Honister slate mine near my home town in the Lake District in Cumbria as a general tradesman, performing a range of practical duties and overseeing a renovation project they are currently undertaking. Though this has been an enjoyable summer job which has gained me many useful new skills and experiences I’m now seeking to return to work in nuclear energy, as this is what I’m most interested in and where I have the most prior experience. I’m well-travelled and am happy to relocate to any geographical location both in the UK and internationally.
I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience.
Kind Regards,
