Xanthe Ginty

I have a bachelors degree in marine biology and a master degree in environmental management. I love animals and the environment. I have worked in retail for a long time but would love the chance to break into the environmental career path.

I have completed a masters (MSc) in Environmental management at the university of Nottingham as I wished to further my career in the environmental sector. I have also achieved my bachelor’s degree in marine biology at Liverpool, where I acquired analytical, communication, IT, research and fieldwork skills. A range of modules were studied across my education, for example, GIS, coastal and marine environment management, flooding risks at the coasts, ecology, climate change and future impacts.

I have also gained practical skills out in the field during my undergraduate, undertaking my own research studies in Scotland and in Liverpool. Travelling was also conducted to gain further experience for example I travelled to Greece on two occasions. I worked as a volunteer promoting Archelon, a charity which aids in preserving the caretta caretta.

I have also had experience working with the public and with varying characters from my past jobs in retail and customer service.
