Over the course of my diverse career, I have honed a wide spectrum of skills. I am described as as not only reliable and organised but also friendly and creative. I love to bring positivity to every interaction and always have a craft project on the go. I hold a degree in costume for TV and Theatre with great professional and voluntary experience.
During my time with Motley Crew at The Space Theatre in London, I undertook the task of designing and making costumes for the play 'The Highwayman' within designated brief and budget. Working closely with the team, I conducted fittings, maintained costumes, oversaw props and accessories, and provided hands-on assistance during live productions. Additionally, from November 2015 to July 2017, I served as the Eco Arts Team Leader at We Do Ethical Bournemouth.
In this role, I orchestrated the organisation and creation of artwork for an event aimed at raising awareness about the environmental impact of fast fashion. Leading a team of volunteers, we designed and produced eco-friendly decorations and headpieces for the winners of a fashion event, emphasising sustainable practices throughout the process.
During my degree, I developed versatile costume skills focusing on design interpretation, historical garment recreation, alterations, and tailoring. I also gained experience in supervisory roles, overseeing show management, quick-changes, and budgeting. Additionally, I assisted in student shows, maintaining costumes, aiding in quick changes, and performing alterations for both theatre productions and film sets. See my work at: xenasaffron.com
