I am a mature, reliable and hardworking person with many years of experience in customer service, hospitality, food preparation, hygiene and working with the public in the UK. Since 2013, I have worked as a self-employed London tour guide, supporting visitors from different backgrounds with calm communication, patience and respect.
I am now looking to move into a healthcare support role where I can use my practical experience, caring attitude and willingness to learn. I am particularly interested in working in healthcare because I understand the importance of kindness, dignity, confidentiality, teamwork and following procedures carefully.
I have practical experience in hygiene, cleaning routines, preparation, customer care and working under pressure. I also hold a Food Safety certificate, which I completed in 2008 when I was working in the food business. I may be new to the healthcare sector, but I am willing to learn, follow training carefully and support patients and colleagues with respect and professionalism.
London Tour Guide / Self-employed
London, United Kingdom
2013 – Present
Since 2013, I have worked as a self-employed London tour guide. I provide guided tours for visitors from different countries, cultures and age groups. This work has helped me develop strong communication skills, patience, responsibility and the ability to support people calmly and respectfully.
My main duties include welcoming visitors, explaining information clearly, managing schedules and meeting points, helping people feel comfortable and safe, and dealing with unexpected situations in a calm and professional way. I often support people who are nervous, tired, confused or unfamiliar with London.
Restaurant / Kitchen / Food Service Experience
2007 – 2012
I worked in busy restaurant, kitchen and food service environments. My duties included food preparation, preparing work areas, cleaning, stock handling, customer service and working as part of a team during busy service times.
This experience gave me a strong awareness of hygiene, cleanliness, safe preparation, contamination risk, equipment handling and following procedures carefully. I also developed the ability to stay calm under pressure, work with colleagues and maintain a clean and organised working environment.
Small Food Business / Hospitality Experience
2007 – 2012
I also have experience in small food business and hospitality work. I took responsibility for preparation, customer service, stock control, cleaning routines and maintaining hygiene standards. This helped me develop reliability, resilience, practical problem-solving skills and a strong sense of responsibility.
Meikai University, Japan
I studied Economics at Meikai University in Japan and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 1997. My university studies helped me develop discipline, responsibility, analytical thinking and the ability to complete long-term study successfully.
I completed a Food Safety certificate in 2008 when I was working in the food business. This training helped me understand the importance of hygiene, cleanliness, safe food handling, contamination prevention and following safety procedures carefully.
English Language and UK Work Experience
I have developed practical English communication skills through many years of working with customers, visitors and colleagues in the UK. My work as a London tour guide has helped me communicate clearly with people from different backgrounds, explain information patiently and support people in a calm and respectful way.
