Work Experience - Cummins Turbo Technology - Huddersfield

Gained practical work experience in highschool working on how high flow turbochargers are engineered and manufactured for commercial diesel and non-diesel engine applications.

• Learned about how different turbocharger subsystems (turbine, compressor, bearing package) are designed, tested, assembled to meet expectations of efficiency, durability and meet emissions regulations.
• Gained exposure to how mechanical design, fluid dynamics, and materials science come together.
• Got to see the engineering workflow at a real multinational company that provides powertrain technologies to the world's leading OEMs such as Volvo, Hyundai, PACCAR.
• Learned about Cummins' mission and culture of continuous improvement with emphasis on sustainable practices and going beyond just electrification to decarbonize transportation.

Volunteer - Khadims Supersave Store - Huddersfield

While volunteering at Khadims (for free in my own time) my primary goals were to be a strong presence of hands on deck and to leave the store as looking sold-ready for the clients who visited. Much of my time was spent on the floor restocking shelves, organizing goods, and ensuring everything was tidy and neat. I would occasionally help customers that asked.

Additionally, I'd offer to help employees with more strenuous or time-consuming tasks such as stocking the back room, loading/unloading trucks, or preparing new goods to be displayed. I just loved being a part of the community atmosphere and feeling helpful to both

Volunteer - British Heart Foundation - Huddersfield

Short-term voluntary experience at the British Heart Foundation shop in Huddersfield - covering for another volunteer who was unable to provide full support to the retail team over a seasonal rush period. I took great pride in offering hands-on support wherever needed - keeping the shop floor tidy and facilitating a pleasant environment for the hardworking local donors who visited as well as general customers.
