Yu-Hsuan Wang

Recent MSc Sustainability Management graduate with a BSc in Life Science (Ecology and Biodiversity), focused on helping organisations communicate sustainability with clarity, credibility, and impact by translating complex scientific and ESG topics into engaging, accessible communications. My experience communicating sustainability across children, local communities, and businesses has strengthened my ability to adapt complex information for different audiences. Creating environmental education materials for children strengthened my ability to translate complex scientific concepts into accessible communications, while researching sustainability transitions in family-owned SMEs deepened my understanding of the organisational and commercial realities businesses face.

Together, these experiences enable me to communicate sustainability from both scientific and business perspectives. Curious, adaptable, and detail-oriented, I bring experience in project coordination, stakeholder engagement, sustainability research, and content development. I am particularly interested in helping organisations communicate sustainability in ways that are evidence-based, audience-centred, and commercially relevant.

Project Assistant (Part-time) - Tunghai University – Centre for Ecology and Environment

(2022-09 - 2024-05)

• Co-developed and illustrated an environmental education book, translating five complex scientific concepts into engaging learning materials for children in a climate-vulnerable community.
• Coordinated the end-to-end delivery of six environmental education programmes for around 30 children, managing planning, materials, stakeholder communication, on-site facilitation, and post-event evaluation. Received positive feedback from teachers for improving children's understanding of local environmental issues and engagement with activities.
• Built trusted relationships with teachers, community partners, and local stakeholders to coordinate programme delivery and ensure activities reflected local needs.

Project Assistant (Volunteer) - Taiwan Permaculture Community Map

(2026-06)

• Designed a user-friendly data collection form to gather information from permaculture practitioners across Taiwan, ensuring questions were clear, intuitive, and easy to complete.
• Organised and synthesised information from 30+ sites into concise, accessible summaries, enabling map users to quickly understand each project's activities and focus.
• Improved the accessibility and consistency of sustainability information, helping users quickly understand projects across the community map.

Climate Educator (Volunteer) - Climate Ed, London - London

(2026-05)

• Successfully completed the recruitment process, including interview, safeguarding checks, and a micro-teaching assessment.
• Delivered an assessed trial lesson, communicating climate and sustainability concepts through age-appropriate activities and incorporating feedback to improve engagement and delivery.
• Approved as a volunteer climate educator and currently awaiting school placement.
