I am a confident and determined young man, excelling in various environments, specifically those which require effective communication. Whether working independently or within a team, I enjoy using my existing skills, learning new skills and solving problems regardless of the pressures involved.
Working as a member of an event team, I had to complete various tasks including: Counting and organising stock, loading and unloading vans dealing with the public and people in the workplace, health and safety awareness, working to a timeline. I worked consistently and reliably over a period of two years, at weekends, night work and evenings.
Over the past three years I have regularly refereed football matches of various age groups, from youth football to men's football. Communication in this role was essential, and maintaining a calm composure in stressful moments. As well as this, time-keeping, personal responsibility and reliability were also parts of this job that I excelled in.
Volunteer - Maya's Community Centre
Volunteering at Maya's Community Centre has given me an insight into helping others and placing their needs ahead of my own. Also, being part of a team, ensuring hundreds of people received Christmas meals and gifts for children. I felt inspired as I developed a sense of community.
