• Geotechnical and Materials Engineer, S.E.L., Al-Karak, Jordan. April 2021 - April 2022
  • Prepared desk studies, Soil/Rock logging reports and Intrusive and non-intrusive concrete testing reports.
  • Designed concrete and asphalt concrete mixes. Conducted cut-slope stability analysis and provided earthworks solutions.
  • Filled construction materials and ground test reports (Soil, Aggregate, Asphalt, Concrete, Steel, ect...) according to American and British Standards.
  • Conducted design and cost studies for gravity, gabion and cantilever retaining walls.
  • Developed and maintained a safe work environment, managed materials and geotechnical laboratory, and trained and supervised undergraduate interns.
  • Liaison with the client and wider project team members to develop best-value solutions.

• Structural Engineer, Nawiseh Design Consultancy, Al-Karak, Jordan. August 2020 - April 2021
  • Designed reinforced concrete multi-story residential building, including footings, slabs, beams, and columns according to American and Jordanian standards, used ETABS to assist in the design process and AutoCad to prepare structural drawings, as well as undertaking hand calculations to verify designs and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Created excel spreadsheets to automate typical calculations like checks for punching shear.
  • Conducted site visits, reviewed, and prepared shop drawings, basic designs, and method statements.
  • Created final cost estimates, adding labour, equipment, materials, overhead, and profit for a mixed-use building proposal by analysing the specifications, assessing project risks, and contacting the subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Contributed to multiple alterations and retrofit projects for commercial structures. Scope included extension and rebuilding of structures, interpretation of existing drawings and confirmation via preliminary site survey, modifying design and construction sequence to ensure partial occupancy during construction.

  • Monitored day-to-day work progress, prepared weekly and monthly reports, and evaluated subcontractor’s performance.
  • Kept track of materials and ordering when required, document any change in design, and updating budgets.
  • Ensured projects meet agreed specifications and analyze the test results of construction materials.
  • Maintained compliance with Health and Safety requirements on site.
