Zhichen Gu is an artist from China based in London. He majors in architecture, installation and computational works in various sectors. His artistic inspiration comes from the modern and traditional clash of scientific and technical advances.
I am a creative technician and possess experience in physical computing and installation, providing support and guidance in the field of digital and computational arts. My proficiency in various programming languages such as C++ (Openframeworks, Unreal), Java (Processing and Arduino), JavaScript (P5js and ml5js), C# (Unity) and Python (Ras-pi and computer vision), enables me to design and develop software solutions for work. My expertise in physical computing and 3D, along with my proficiency in laser cutting and 3D printing, let me create and fabricate custom digital solutions.
I have freelancer experience as Graphic Designer, VJ and workshop technician (mounting multi-media, present-based robotic performance) which allows me to provide support in producing screen or projection-based and physical prototypes for interactive, audio, visual and digital art experiences and exhibitions.
